Qualifications
- Matric (National Senior Certificate)
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a marketing, brand, or communications support role, preferably within the retail sector or a related agency
- Experience assisting with campaign coordination and managing marketing materials
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing basics as well as communication and partnership management
- Foundational understanding of marketing principles and brand management.
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing channels (social media, email marketing).
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and their application.
- Understanding of general marketing campaign processes and timelines.
- Knowledge of project management basics.
- Awareness of current retail trends and consumer behaviour in South Africa.
- Proficiency in Google platforms.
- Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Canva, basic Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Excellent ability to manage tasks, prioritise, and maintain organised records.
- Meticulous in reviewing content and ensuring accuracy and brand compliance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Collaborative, able to build good working relationships with colleagues.
- Self-starter with a willingness to take ownership and solve problems.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work in a fast-paced environment, and adjust to changing priorities.
- Basic ability to gather information, track metrics, and summarise findings.
- Ability to identify and address minor issues independently.
- Comfortable with digital tools and platforms relevant to marketing.
- Effective in meeting deadlines and managing workload efficiently.
