Minimum requirements for the role:
  • The ideal candidate should have an engineering degree or diploma or related qualification.
  • Previous experience having worked within the unit handling or automation industry is preferred.
  • Previous sales experience having sold unit handling and or systems automation equipment within the warehousing, production and industrial industries.
  • The candidate should be able to understand and interpret layouts in either AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar technologies.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be confident in engaging on all levels of management within a company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Managing key accounts within the warehousing, production and related industrial industries as well as driving new business on a national basis.
  • Managing customer expectations and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Developing growth strategies working closely with the assistance from the commercial director.
  • Calling on key accounts promoting the company’s products and services such as layout design, plc and SCADA Systems, electrical and mechanical automation, conveyors and sorters, dimensioning and scanning systems, maintenance contracts etc.
  • Attending global and local conferences and trade shows.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
