The ideal candidate will be a hands-on tradesman with strong fault-finding, maintenance, and breakdown response capabilities.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical and electrical maintenance on heavy machinery and production linesConduct fault finding and root cause analysis on equipment failuresComplete breakdown response and repair work promptly to reduce downtimeExecute scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance tasksMaintain equipment logs and service records in line with maintenance plansEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsReport hazards, near-misses, and actively participate in toolbox talks and safety meetingsSupport the production team with equipment readiness and troubleshootingLiaise with external service providers and suppliers when necessaryMinimum RequirementsTrade Test Certificate as a MillwrightRelevant technical or electrical/mechanical qualificationMinimum 3-5 years of post-trade experience in a steel or metals manufacturing environmentStrong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skillsKnowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and heavy industrial machineryWillingness to work shifts, overtime, or respond to call-outs as neededReady to join a fast-paced, high-impact engineering team in the steel industry?
