- Travel:
- The role may require regular travel to customer sites, industry events, and trade shows.
- Compensation:
- R15 000 basic salary with performance-based commissions. Potential commission earning on target (R25 000 – R40 000)
- Company car
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed sales targets for blades, core drills, machines, abrasives, and other related products.
- Identify and target potential customers across various industries including construction, stone processing, metalworking, and manufacturing.
- Present and demonstrate product offerings to clients, providing technical solutions tailored to their needs.
- Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and ongoing business relationships.
- Product Knowledge & Technical Support:
- Provide in-depth technical expertise on blades, core drills, polishing systems, abrasives, and steel cutting/grinding solutions.
- Advise customers on product selection based on their specific operational requirements and technical needs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest product innovations and industry trends to offer the best solutions to clients.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
- Provide ongoing post-sales support, addressing customer inquiries and ensuring the successful application of products.
- Coordinate with the technical support team to resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently.
- Market Research & Reporting:
- Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities, competitors, and industry trends.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, market conditions, and customer feedback for management review.
- Provide insights and recommendations for product improvements or new product lines based on customer needs.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with internal teams, including operations, product development, and customer service, to ensure smooth sales processes and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in trade shows, seminars, and promotional events to increase product visibility and expand market reach.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in a technical field (preferably in blades, core drills, abrasives, or related machinery).
- Strong technical knowledge of the products, including blades, core drills, polishing systems, steel cutting, and grinding equipment.
- Sales Skills:
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong ability to build relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Technical Knowledge:
- A solid understanding of the technical aspects of the products and their applications in various industries.
- Ability to explain complex product features and benefits to non-technical customers.
- Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to understand and address customer requirements and concerns effectively.
- Education:
- A degree or diploma in Engineering, Sales, Business, or a related technical field is preferred but not essential.
- Personal Qualities:
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve results.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
