- Provide strategic leadership for the Music and Culture Department, ensuring alignment with Lebone II College's vision and values.
- Design and implement a comprehensive extra-curricular cultural programme, celebrating African and global artistic traditions.
- Teach music to students of varying levels, preparing them for IEB and other recognised examinations, competitions, and performances.
- Promote and facilitate African music traditions, including marimba, drumming, choral singing, and dance, alongside Western classical and contemporary music.
- Manage and mentor music and culture staff, including peripatetic teachers and cultural coaches.
- Organise and lead school concerts, cultural festivals, drama productions, and community engagement initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of performance and participation in assemblies, and ceremonial occasions.
- Oversee administrative functions, including timetabling, budgets, event planning, and reporting.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Music, Cultural Studies, or related field.
- At least 4 years' experience in music and/or cultural education, with proven leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work across diverse musical and cultural forms.
- SACE registration.
- Proven ability to design and implement extra-curricular programmes in music and culture.
