DESCRIPTION/SYNOPSYS:Our Client one of Africas largest and most respected Agricultural Companies, with a worldwide footprint spanning Africa, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. They are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist, who will play a critical role within the Finance & Accounts Department.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting5-10 years of experience in accounts payable/creditors role.Experience in a multinational/Global Company is essentialExperience working with multiple foreign currencies essentialStrong knowledge of creditors/accounts payable processes and principles.Strong understanding of trial balance and accounting principlesKnowledge and experience with VAT monthly submissions.RESPONSIBILITIES:The Accounts Payable Specialist role plays a key part in maintaining accurate and real-time financial records and ensuring timely payment transactions.Receive, review, and verify invoices and payment requests from suppliers and vendors.Accurately enter invoice details into the accounting system, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.Match invoices with vouchers posted and payment requisitions to ensure compliance.Validate necessary approvals for invoices and payment requests.Prepare and process payment batches, including checks, electronic transfers, and wire payments.Reconcile accounts payable transactions to creditors statements and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Maintain subledger open entry matching (invoices with payment etc)Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and supplier/vendor details.Respond to inquiries from suppliers and internal departments regarding payment status and discrepancies.Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.Prepare and submit various reports related to accounts payable processes.Facilitation of foreign payments to suppliersCollaborate with the Finance & Accounts team to improve accounts payable processes and efficiency.Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.Assist in ad-hoc finance and accounting tasks as assigned by the Manager.Do you see yourself as the successful Accounts Payable Specialist at this leading Company?
