You will be responsible for conducting air quality measurements, evaluating risks, and implementing control measures to prevent exposure to hazardous substances and gases. Your expertise and commitment to safety will contribute to the overall success of the mining operation.Responsibilities

Maintaining and monitoring ventilation systems to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
Conducting air quality measurements and assessing risks related to hazardous substances and gases
Implementing control measures to minimize exposure to hazardous substances and gases
Providing training and guidance to site personnel on ventilation-related matters
Participating in incident investigations and providing recommendations for improvement
Preparing and submitting ventilation reports to regulatory authorities

Requirements

Degree in Mine Environmental Control or relevant field

Grade 12/NQF Level 4 certificate is essential.
Chamber of Mines Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control
Certificate in Environmental Health will be advantageous.
Certificate in Occupational Hygiene will be advantageous.
Certificate in Occupational Hygiene Risk Assessment will be advantageous.
Certificate in Occupational Hygiene Legislation will be advantageous.
Associated member – Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa.
Minimum of 5 years experiences in a trackless, and conventional underground mining environment, with practical
