DIESEL MECHANIC

• Observe and Adhere to General Responsibilities
• Adhere to all employment legislation as amended from time to time.
• Adhere to the requirements of the SHEQ-C Code of Conduct.
• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures as amended from time to time.
• Attend Safety and pre-shift meetings as scheduled.
• Attend training sessions as required.
• Responsible for general Housekeeping of Plant and Equipment
• Good housekeeping practice as per company standards.
• Inspections and Reports
• Complete all relevant inspections and reports.
• Report all faults and problems to the Foreman.
• Safety aspects on Plant and Equipment
• Ensure compliance with all maintenance standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Do not commence with any tasks if the required safety criteria are not met.
• Report all accidents/incidents and safety deviations to the Plant foreman/ Plant Manager.
• Maintenance of Plant and Equipment
• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance.
• Maintain plant and equipment to design capacity.
• Ensure that tools and equipment are kept in a safe working condition.

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Recognised Trade Test Certificate

• At least 5 years’ experience on yellow equipment

• Visibility on site
• Meet with requirements of annual medical examination
