- Prepare and compile tenders, quotations, and costing schedules.
- Ensure proposals align with company and customer commercial terms and conditions.
- Review customer specifications for compliance (technical and commercial).
- Gather and organize all required returnable documents and attachments for tender submissions.
- Perform cost calculations to determine project margins and selling prices; confirm stock availability.
- Liaise with customers, internal branches, and business units regarding tender-related matters.
- Formulate suitable technical and commercial solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure inclusion of current and relevant technical documentation in proposals.
- Regularly source updated pricing from internal teams and preferred suppliers for accurate costing.
- Assist Business Development with technical clarifications and assess design complexity.
- Review and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for quotation purposes.
- Summarize tender information for internal evaluation.
- Conduct site inspections, when required, to gather the necessary details for accurate tender preparation.
- Respond to technical queries from both internal and external clients.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
- Follow up on the status and outcomes of submitted tenders and quotations.
- Engage in pre-order negotiations with clients.
- Represent the company at trade shows and support product launches.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
- Perform general sales and quotation-related administrative tasks.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in internal systems and proposal processes.
- Provide product training to internal staff and external clients as needed.
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in proposals or technical sales within the power generation sector.
- Solid knowledge of costing, tenders, and technical documentation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and Single Line Diagrams.
- Strong communication, organizational, and client engagement skills.
