Purpose of the job Managing a range of activities and functions in a dynamic and unique growing business in manufacturing of Rock drills and Thrust legs that service the Mining industry. Manage and Coordinate all service centers in accordance with company Standard. Specific tasks and responsibilities Manage services, operational and financial targets Co ordinate activity with support departments Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training in accordance with company standards Compliance with company regulations and commercial standards Manage strategic customer relationships Responsible for appraising performance, rewarding & disciplining as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems. Strategize to ensure growth and profitable service delivery. Responsible for generating sales through services, identifying opportunities and facilitate sales enquiries from inception, through sale, and delivery of product. Co ordinate and collaborate with departments to ensure stock availability and on time service delivery to the end user. Plan and maintain stock accuracy in workshops Environmental, Safety & Health Direct responsibility for the Health, Safety and Environment of all fellow employees who either directly work in your area, or who visit the operation areas you are responsible for, either internal or external visitors. Including full legal & company compliance in areas under your responsibility. Develop a positive safety culture through the company Behavioural Safety Program.
Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required 8-10 years industry experience 5 years workshop management related experience in Mining environment Trade/Diploma in Engineering field Experience in Rock drilling equipment will be beneficial Computer literate Attributes (be able to) Problem solving Planning, organizational, and analytical skills Deadline driven & customer service orientated Stakeholder Engagement & Management skills Supervisory skills and ability to review performance. Good Technical product knowledge Skills (must be able to) Leadership, interpersonal and communication skills Training and Technical skills Warehouse and stores knowledge Computer literate-Excel/Word Foster open and honest working relations between self and management.
