You will support the implementation and commissioning of electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems on projects and then provide ongoing service and maintenance for clients. The role blends on-site technical work with planning, stakeholder communication, and safety compliance to ensure systems meet standards and operate reliably.Key ResponsibilitiesManage assigned service plans and schedules end-to-endPlan and execute project commissioning alongside engineering and project supervisorsArrange and confirm client service appointments; set clear expectationsLiaise with customers via email, phone, and in person; provide timely updatesParticipate in weekly service/project meetings and post-mortems; capture actionsOversee on-site work quality, standards, and timelines; supervise contractors with the internal teamEnforce safety management and compliance on siteEnsure all work complies with SANS and SAIRAC standardsUse Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint to document and reportAbout You5+ years experience as a service technician in wiring, controls, instrumentation, and fault findingMatric plus Trade Certificate (Electrician); HVAC/Refrigeration trade or instrumentation/controls diploma advantageousComputer literate; proficient with Microsoft OfficeValid Code 08 drivers licenceStrong commissioning experience and industrial installation exposureIntuitive, proactive, and self-motivated; plans ahead and follows throughQuality-driven with excellent customer relationship skillsSafety-conscious, organized, and comfortable supervising contractors
