Reporting Line: Tender ManagerMain Job Purpose:
Submitting accurate tenders, including sourcing, reviewing, responding, and monitoring bids. Create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin. Ensure end-to-end successful and fully compliant delivery of tenders.Minimum Desired Qualifications:
  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • Supply Chain diploma or related tertiary education
Minimum Desired Experience:
  • 3 years’ experience in a bid / tender environment
  • Pricing skills
  • Knowledge of Public Procurement Contracting and Tendering principles, including PFMA, PPPFA and BBBEE
Minimum Desired Competencies:
  • Basic understanding of networking principles and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
Responsibilities and Accountability:
  • Take Minutes of the Tender Committee
  • Establish and adhere to proper document management for minutes, tender documents and related documents
  • Source, compile, submit and follow up of all possible tenders
  • Perform daily online research using all resources available to find relevant tenders
  • Compile tender documentation, which includes all relevant documentation requested
  • Liaise with all Partners and Support Services to ensure relevant information is up to date
  • Assist with write ups about the firm and its services as and when requested
  • Set up meetings with relevant Partners and companies once tenders have been awarded
  • Ensure credibility and accuracy of all tender proposals and quotations submitted
  • Track and monitor proposals
  • Interpret client queries and respond professionally
  • Analyse tender requests and identify specific requirements
  • Distribute requirements to tender committee
  • Co-ordinate tender development activities
  • Compile final tender development activities

  • Ensure that all other Tender content is of a similar style, grammar and language, etc. throughout
  • Manage timeous review, signature and delivery of tenders
  • Manage database of tender awarded
  • Monitor and ensure that the tender and legal requirements impacting the tender process are maintained
  • Ensure proactive interaction with clients following a tender award
  • Monitor the financial impact of tender awards
  • Track contract deadlines and renewal dates
