Red Ant - situated in Ceres, has been supplying innovative agricultural solutions and equipment to Southern Africa for over five decades.PROCUREMENT OFFICERReid & Verwey is looking for the services of a Procurement Officer with an appitite for cost saving initiatives and a proven track record of building procurement structures. This position is based at our Ceres offices.Responsibilities:

local and international procurement duties
stock forecasting and lead time management
supplier sourcing and price negotiation
build and upkeep of procurement database
assist with stock take proceedingsmanagement support as required.

Skills and exprerience required:

good computer literacy (MS Office, Pastel, Ritesoft)
above average MS Excel Literacy
minimum 5 years experience in similar role
proven track record (examples) of cost saving initiatives.

Qualifications:

relevant post matric diploma/degree
valid drivers license
reliable transport to and from work.
