Senior Azure Data Scientist - Johannesburg - 1mil to 1.1mil per annumPOSITION INFO:A leading Information Technology and Business Consulting firm, providing specialized solutions to enterprises across the private and public sectors, are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join their AI & Data Analytics Department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and develop cutting-edge Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions using Microsoft Azure. You will work with large datasets, build predictive models, and integrate advanced analytics into business operations.Responsibilities:

Set up and manage Data Lakes on Microsoft Azure.
Ingest data from various sources, including sensors, databases, and logs, using Azure Data Factory or Azure Stream Analytics.
Transform and prepare data to ensure high-quality input for machine learning models.
Perform feature selection and data

to optimize model performance. * Build, deploy, and refine predictive machine learning models on Azure.

Monitor and maintain models, setting up alerts for anomalies and performance drifts.
Integrate AI/ML insights into business applications to drive decision-making.
Develop training materials and conduct sessions for IT and business users.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computational Mathematics, Quantitative Fields, Computer Science, or

. * Strong knowledge of machine learning, AI, and data analytics principles.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong expertise in Python, Spark, Azure AI/ML services, and Power BI.
Experience with real-time data processing, IoT, and sensor data pipelines (advantageous).
Ability to work on large-scale AI projects with a high degree of accuracy.
Business & Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to translate AI insights into practical business solutions.
Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in training and knowledge transfer for technical and non-technical users.
