RPO's Client in Durban is seeking a detail-oriented and semi-experienced Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.Key Responsibilities:

Sage 50 / Pastel Partner 19 (including customer and supplier processing) –full data capture to Trial Balance, reconciliation of control and other accounts, and preparation of management accounts.
Sage Business Cloud Payroll Professional
SARS E-filing - VAT/PAYE/Provisional Tax/Company Tax Returns/Individual Tax Returns/Trust
Tax Returns / Marketable Securities Tax returns
EMP501 reconciliations
Dividend Tax returns
U-filing
CIPRO administration including submission of Annual Returns & Beneficial Ownership Returns
Attending to company secretarial matters using SecWare program
Audit experience at junior level
Use of Caseware audit software, including preparation of annual financial statements under IFRS-SME and XBRL formatting of AFS for submission to CIPRO, would be an advantage.
Using CaseWare Time for recording of time spent on work performed, preparation and processing of invoices and write-ups / write-downs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented and organized
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
