
Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding

- Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline with a focus on strategic clients
- Develop and execute new client acquisition strategies
- Perform needs analysis for potential clients
- Provide feedback to senior management on sourcing strategies and service delivery for existing client partnerships
- Manage data to create actionable insights and report findings
- Collaborate with operational teams to relay client needs or concerns
- Work cross-functionally to optimize client partnerships
- Present to and build relationships with senior managers and clients
- Provide national partners with weekly and monthly performance reports based on agreed SLAs
- Monitor and analyze client-specific KPIs and prepare performance review meetings
- Ensure client partners are accountable for service delivery to maintain continuous operational performance
- Travel within South African provinces as required
- Experience presenting to senior managers
- Proven track record in business growth, client acquisition, or business development
- Ability to generate leads through both physical and digital means
- Competent in Excel (Google Sheets) and PowerPoint (Google Slides)
- Experience in e-commerce environments is an advantage
- Commercially-minded, strong negotiator

- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding Sales
- Proven track record of delivering business growth and client acquisition
- Competence in Excel (Google Sheets) & PowerPoint (Google Slides)
- Experience in e-commerce is an advantage
