- Identify and establish new business opportunities through engagement with existing and potential customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Proposal and Quotation Preparation:
- Prepare tenders, proposals, and quotations that align with customer requirements and company objectives.
- Technical Presentations and Representation:
- Deliver technical presentations to clients to demonstrate product capabilities and value.
- Represent the company at technical events, trade shows, and customer shows to showcase offerings.
- Product Specification Conversion:
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into detailed product specifications that meet their needs.
- Project Implementation and Management:
- Oversee the implementation of projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with client expectations and company standards.
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement end-user sales strategies tailored to different market segments.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer communication records and sales data in the companys CRM system.
- Performance Review:
- Conduct regular reviews of product specification achievements against agreed objectives to ensure alignment with targets.
- Reporting:
- Prepare detailed monthly progress reports to update management on sales and project performance.
- Demonstrated ability to specify and sell technical products effectively to end-users.
- Project Management Skills:
- Structured and methodical approach to managing projects from initiation to completion.
- Organizational and Analytical Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Analytical skills to evaluate customer needs and product specifications.
- Proactive and Independent Worker:
- Self-driven with the ability to work autonomously while maintaining high performance.
- Administrative Excellence:
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation, records, and reports.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the company's territory to meet clients and attend events.
- Overtime:
- Availability to work overtime as required to meet project and client deadlines.
- Post-matric qualification in an Electrical discipline (N6 or equivalent).
- Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in a technical sales environment.
- Proven experience in project management and product specification.
- Experience in the South African electrical industry is advantageous.
