Purpose of the Role:
Our client is seeking an individual who is detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to manage the Sourcing, Purchasing, and Vendor relations for materials and services aligned with project and business requirements.
This role ensures cost-effective procurement, contract compliance, and on-time delivery through end-to-end coordination with internal and external stakeholders.Role: Procurement Officer

Matric
Bachelor's Degree: in Business, Commerce, IT or related field
CIPS Diploma

Experience

Minimum 5 years experience in Procurement

Skills and Knowledge

Strong negotiation, planning, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent verbal and written communication in English
ERP experience (Oracle/Sage/SAP)
Clear criminal record

Key Responsibilities

Process purchase requisitions and ensure they align with approved specifications and budgets
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with new and existing vendors to ensure cost competitiveness
Prepare & float RFQs, conduct bid analysis, and issue purchase orders in ERP systems
Ensure timely delivery by monitoring and following up on outstanding POs
Address and resolve vendor disputes regarding quality, warranty, and delivery
Draft and amend supplier contracts, agreements, and SLAs in line with business needs
Maintain and update the preferred supplier list and ensure vendor compliance
Drive cost-saving initiatives and identify procurement process optimizations
Ensure full compliance with company Procurement Policy and Code of Conduct
