The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering consistently high levels of guest experience. This is a live-in role requiring strong operational oversight, excellent communication abilities, and a solutions-driven mindset.Candidate Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all lodge departments including Front of House, Housekeeping, Maintenance, F&B, and Guest Relations
  • Manage the daily operation of the lodge to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
  • Maintain the highest standards of guest experience across all touchpoints
  • Train, develop, and motivate a multicultural team to consistently perform to high standards
  • Handle stock and inventory control, procurement, and monthly reporting
  • Assist with budgeting and cost control, and ensure financial targets and KPIs are met
  • Ensure property maintenance and infrastructure upkeep are carried out proactively
  • Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with company and legal requirements
  • Coordinate and manage all lodge hosting responsibilities and guest interaction
Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in lodge or hospitality management (preferably in a Big 5 reserve)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience in guest service delivery and conflict resolution
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, reporting, and stock control
  • Solid computer literacy including MS Office; knowledge of property/lodge management systems an advantage
  • Must be highly organized, hands-on, and adaptable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license (Code B or higher)
