This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment. Key Responsibilities:Document Preparation & Management:
  • Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
  • Organise and maintain physical and digital case files.
  • Prepare exhibits and discovery materials in accordance with litigation timelines.
  • Summarise depositions and related discovery content.
Legal Research:
  • Conduct basic legal research using platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • Summarise statutes, case law, and relevant legal articles to support litigation strategy.
  • Compile findings for review by attorneys and senior team members.
Client & Court Communication:
  • Act as liaison for clients, witnesses, and expert contacts.
  • File legal documents with the court and ensure procedural compliance.
  • Schedule hearings, meetings, and depositions.
Trial Preparation & Support:
  • Assist attorneys in compiling trial bundles and organising case materials.
  • Support witness preparation and trial logistics.
  • Attend court proceedings as needed to support the legal team.
Administrative Support:
  • Manage calendars, file systems, and case management software.
  • Assist with billing processes and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
General Office Duties:
  • Handle routine office tasks such as answering calls and managing internal communication.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software (e.g., Clio, LexisNexis).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with court procedures and filing protocols.
