- A qualification in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering.
- Proven experience in sales estimation or a related field.
- Knowledge or experience in the automotive industry is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and related documents to define the scope of work.
- Collaborate with engineers to conduct feasibility studies, develop models, and specify hardware and equipment.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and other project expenses.
- Draft detailed proposals and quotes for clients.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and provide accurate pricing.
- Maintain and update a database of cost data and pricing information.
- Monitor project costs to ensure alignment with approved estimates.
- Support sales meetings and presentations when required.
- Identify and implement improvements to the estimation process to reduce costs.
