Our client, a well-established logistics and forwarding company, is seeking an experienced Entry Clerk to join their team in Modderfontein, Johannesburg. This role requires strong technical knowledge of customs processes and documentation, with CargoWise proficiency being essential.Key Responsibilities

Prepare and process accurate customs entries in CargoWise.
Frame import and export entries for both FCLs and LCLs.
Capture and manage import/export documentation (SI, Phyto, PPECB, COO, etc.).
Ensure compliance with SARS regulations for both imports and exports.
Respond to SARS queries and resolve customs issues effectively.
Apply correct tariff codes and VOCs in line with regulatory requirements.
Liaise with shipping lines, agents, and clients regarding clearance processes.
Maintain accurate filing and records of all entries and supporting documentation.

Requirements

23 years proven experience as an Entry Clerk in the clearing & forwarding sector.
CargoWise proficiency is mandatory (candidates with other systems will not be considered).
In-depth knowledge of:

Customs entry processes and framing entries
Export and import compliance (FCLs & LCLs)
SARS regulations, tariff codes, and VOCs
Shipping agency processes
Regulatory export/import documentation (SI, Phyto, PPECB, COO, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
