Key Job ResponsibilityContributes as a member of the HCM team in developing an overall HC strategy for the company which is aligned to the business needs. It will also include collaboration in the development of talent management strategies e.g. career paths, succession planning etcResponsible for the development and management of skills development budget of all the regions to ensure the most effective utilization of financial resources and maintenance of costs within the budgetTo ensure compliance with the company training and development policies and other related policiesOversee the Oracle Learning Management SystemOversee the on the establishment & implementation of a quality management system for skills development practices in the organisationTo design and develop relevant learning material for training events and e-learning purposes.To oversee the execution of University, schools, and EXPO campaign to promote the awareness of laboratory careers and bursaries at the companyManagement of the provision of ongoing skills development for all staff within the organisation in accordance with regional and national skills development plans, including supervision of sourcing of training providers to ensure NQF & SAQA accreditationTo design, implement and monitor leadership interventions to improve skills of the senior managers, middle managers, and supervisors for greater leadership skills at each levelTo oversee the administration of training interventions and records maintenance to ensure that training programmes are properly administered, recorded, and reported as required (Learnerships, graduate programmes, internship programmes, ABET, Internal & External bursaries & training)Ensure that the organisation Training needs Analysis (TNA) is updated annuallyOversee the coordination of workplace skills plan (WSP) and annual training needs (ATR) annually to ensure compliance Accountable to ensure NHLS WSP is loaded on HWSETA annually.Minimum requirements & key competency3 Year Diploma in Human Resources/Training and Development or Equivalent qualification (NQF 6)Registration with ETDPSETA Advantageous (desirable)Skills development facilitator certification (essential)Seven (7) Years experience within a training environmentFive (5) Years experience in managerial/Supervisory positionsKnowledge of Policies and Procedures (desirable)Knowledge of organisational behaviour principles (desirable)Knowledge of skills related legislation e.g. SDA, SDL, SAQA ActKnowledge of skills developmentLeadership and Management SkillsCustomer service orientation skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsinterpersonal skillsPlanning and organisational skillsstrategic thinking and planningAnalytical and Problem solving skillsDecision Making skillsComputer skills (essential)
