- Must have a BComm/accounting degree or relevant financial qualification
- Must have 5+ years of financial/accounting experience
- Having experience in Hospitality/tourism knowledge/ advantageous
- Computer literacy in Excel in particular
- Experience with Pastel accounting systems and stock control and management
- Implementation of internal audits
- Preparation and weekly submission of cashflow requirements
- Filling of tax, and VAT returns
- CIPC management
- PAYE calculations and payroll
- Management and training of junior team members
- Regular management meetings with the Managing Director and Heads of Departments to discuss financial performance
- Compilation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Ensuring correct authorization and allocation of business expenditure
- Review and reporting of CAPEX spending to budget
- Interpretation and analysis of management accounts
- Preparation of P&L and balance sheets
- Monthly reconciliation of bank statements and payments
- Collation and resolution of general ledger inquiries
- Reconciliation of accounts, debtors & creditors
- Maintenance of fixed asset register
- Statistical monitoring of vehicle fleet
- Maintenance of stock control procedures and monthly reconciliation
- Loading of payments and processing of invoices
- Excellent administrative and time management skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to solve problems under pressure
