Job Description :An upmarket food company is looking for a talented Senior Bookkeeper to join its team in the beautiful Winelands. This isn't just a numbers job, the successful candidate will be the financial heartbeat of a dynamic food product and restaurant business, ensuring seamless operations from the kitchen to the office.The company is offering a hybrid flexible, part-time role (8am - 1pm) that provides an excellent work-life balance while allowing the individual to play a pivotal role in its continued success. The company is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a passion for accuracy.Key Responsibilities:Financial Management: Responsible for processing all bank transactions and reconciling accounts up to the trial balance.Accounts & Payments: Manage the entire creditors and debtors process, from processing invoices to preparing a weekly payment schedule.Monthly Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts for various companies, providing key financial insights to guide business decisions.Statutory Compliance: Handle all payroll processing and statutory submissions, including PAYE, UIF, and COIDA, as well as VAT processing and submission.Operational Support: Assist restaurant managers with stock takes, manage petty cash, and support the processing of export documents.Tech Savvy: Proficient in Xero, using it to maintain accurate financial records and streamline processes.Requirements

5 years' + experienced in bookkeeping

Xero experience essential

Creditors and debtors experience

Monthly reporting

VAT processing and submission
Reliable

Live in the Helderberg region

Proven track record of managing full bookkeeping functions, ideally within the retail or hospitality sectors

Meticulous, trustworthy, and thrive on a diverse set of responsibilities
