Job Summary Are you a skilled finance professional with a flair for consolidations and IFRS? Our client, a leading player in the construction industry, is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to step in on a 6-month fixed term contract and take ownership of group reporting.This is an opportunity to gain valuable contract experience in the construction sector, showcase your technical expertise in group reporting and IFRS, work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your impact is immediate, and collaborate with a skilled finance team on high-level projects.Duties:

Prepare group consolidations
Draft and review financial statements in line with IFRS
Application of IFRS 9 (Financial Instruments) and IFRS 16 (Leases)
Assist with month-end, reporting, and ad-hoc financial projects
Partner with senior finance leaders to deliver accurate financial insights

Education and Experience:

CA(SA)
Minimum 3 years’ construction industry experience is essential
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS 9 and IFRS 16
Proven track record in group consolidations and drafting financial statements
Ability to thrive under deadlines in a project-driven environment
