A leading financial services company is seeking a Junior Credit Analyst to join their team. This role involves preparing comprehensive credit proposals for the Executive Credit Committee, assessing clients' financial health, and determining whether asset and/or trade finance can be extended.ResponsibilitiesCredit Proposals:Analyse financial statements and management accounts to assess applicants and guarantorsPrepare income statements, balance sheets, and consolidate informationAnalyse VAT returns and book debtsResearch market trends and determine repayment affordabilityObtain and verify client background informationRequest credit reports and security confirmationsCreate SWOT analysesMaintain security and arrears trackingConduct sensitivity analysis for proposalsPrepare trust review information and identify risksRespond to management and committee queriesConduct monthly book debt analysis and updatesLiaise with clients on queriesTrade Finance Reviews:Maintain and update trade review lists and registersTrack application status and approvalsMaintain outstanding information listsReview Letters:Prepare and follow up on trade review lettersGeneral:Follow up on financial information from clientsReview FICA documentationComplete necessary checklistsCompile and maintain deal filesRequirements

Degree or relevant qualifications in Finance/Accounting (highest level of competence)

Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in the Finance/Accounting environment
Proficiency in MS Office
