Job SummaryAbout Our Client:Our client is a leading medical scheme based in Pretoria, dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare benefits to its members. In line with their growth and commitment to excellence, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Systems Engineer to join their team.Functions:

Install, configure, and maintain servers and associated hardware and software.
Design and implement server solutions to meet business requirements.
Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Optimize server performance through tuning and capacity planning.
Provide advanced support for server-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolution.
Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of server infrastructure.
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in server administration.

Skills:

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Office, Outlook, and Internet.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Bilingual in English and Afrikaans with strong interpersonal communication.
Team player with a caring attitude.
Flexible in adapting to changes and management decisions.
Proficient in problem-solving techniques and record keeping.
Leadership skills and ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships.

Requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent.
Diploma/Degree in IT, System Engineering, or related field.
A+ and N+ certifications or similar qualifications.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in server, workstation, associated operating systems, and advanced application support.
Strong ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Active listening skills to understand and address user needs effectively.
