- Support the development of comprehensive project plans, including objectives, scope, deliverables and timelines for successful project implementation.
- Contribute to the strategies aimed at increasing collection and recycling of plastic packaging waste, with the aim of achieving the legislated targets.
- Contribute to the coordination of collection and recycling projects. This will include providing guidance, direction, and assistance to achieve project milestones and objectives.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data management system for tracking key metrics; particularly investment, jobs and tonnes collected and recycled.
- Analyse data to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Generate regular reports on recycling performance for internal and external stakeholders
- Obtain data from Finance that set the targets for project delivery
- Ensure invoices are paid, and documentation is correct,
- Ensure that invested projects are initiated, reporting and paying
- Facilitate the MOA setup, with the legal and compliance team
- Monitoring volume reports to track performance of collection and recycling projects
- Ensuring partners are adhering to the MOA and operating procedures are being followed
- Regular site visits to check on physical appearance of equipment
- Initiating intervention to address non-performance
- Facilitate collection and recycling companies funding applications, capturing information, undertaking site visits, etc.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with collection and recycling partners.
- Support the preparation of regular progress reports, project documentation, and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and project outcomes to facilitate knowledge sharing and inform future initiatives.
- · Project Management/Environmental/Waste Management tertiary qualification or equivalent qualification required
- · Project Management related courses/certifications essential
- 3-4 Years experience in project coordination/administration within a similar role preferably within the Waste Management and/or Recycling industry
- Must have experience in delivering on projects is critical (initiation to project closure)
- Proven efficiency on MS Excel is essential as well as proficiency on MS Word and MS Powerpoint
- Ability to manage service providers and performance delivery
- Highly organised and pro-active
- Fluency in African and Afrikaans languages beneficial
