Job Vacancy: Fitter and Turner Type: PermanentPurpose of the Role: To perform precision machining, fitting, and assembly of components to exact engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, operating various machine tools, and ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the production and repair of parts.Key Responsibilities:

Precision Machining: Set up, operate, and monitor manual and CNC machine tools to machine components.
Fitting and Assembly: Perform precision fitting, assembly, and disassembly of components.
Interpretation of Drawings: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Quality Control: Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments.
Maintenance & Repair: Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and maintenance on machinery.
Tooling & Setup: Select, set up, and adjust cutting tools for machining operations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
Documentation & Compliance: Complete job cards, inspection reports, and adhere to safety policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

Trade Test Certification: Red Seal Fitter & Turner qualification is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years post-apprenticeship experience in precision engineering.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with manual and CNC machinery is advantageous.

Essential Skills and Knowledge: Advanced Blueprint Reading, Metrology Skills, Machining Expertise, Technical Problem-Solving, Safety Consciousness, and Physical Requirements.Personal Attributes: Meticulous Attention to Detail, Self-Motivated, Reliable & Punctual, and Adaptable.Advantageous Skills: Experience with CNC programming, toolroom or maintenance environment, Forklift license, and ISO 9001 quality standards.
