An opportunity has become available for a Site Scheduler (Production Planner). The Site Scheduler will report directly to the Logistics Manager and be responsible for the effective management of the factory Production Plan, MRP and the purchasing process to ensure that the required service level and inventory targets are met and maintained.Duties and Responsibilities:Weekly planning process (production planning, planning meeting, process order scheduling), in collaboration with buyers and factory managers
Monitor Daily sales reports (Open sales, Service levels, sales forecast, national stock sales rates etc
Update actual vs. planned daily and analyse variances (non-adherence to plan) and discuss with production managers in daily production meetings
Report potential risks back to Logistics Manager and central planning
Monitor BOMs for material change-overs and ensure that process orders are raised with correct BOM
Manage and monitor material plan performance
Manage and monitor plan change performance
Maintain planning and reporting sheets
Manage and maintain demand vs factory commitment performance
Attend weekly S&OP meeting facilitated by central planning to report back on factory performance
Monitor full utilization of planning board and process orders
Ensure that the Planning Master data is accurate with correct throughput per production line
Participate in Quarterly Standard Committee meeting to review throughputs and to align SAP capacity and planning capacity accordingly
Consolidate relevant information for the monthly reporting cycle (Monthly and Annual volumes report, weekly MPS, MPP)
Weekly MPS report
Participate in monthly site stock counts
Investigate discrepancies (Consumption variances, Finished goods GRN vs Deliveries etc) and provide feedback to Logistics Manager and FinanceExperience Required:A minimum of 4 years experience in a Production Planner / Site Scheduler function gained within the FMCG environment
SAP experience essentialMinimum Qualifications Required:A completed 3 year qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (National Diploma / BTech / BCom)Additional Requirements:Demand and Supply Planning
SAP Material Management (MRP) and Production Planning Modules
Knowledge of financial processes
Advanced Microsoft Excel
