Engineering Manager (Design / Projects) - PretoriaPOSITION INFO:Employer DescriptionOur client is a mechanical components manufacturer.Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for leading the Mechanical Design, R&D, Project Engineering, and Drawing Office functions.
- Lead mechanical design and documentation for assemblies and components
- Oversee R&D initiatives, including prototyping, testing, and innovation
- Manage the Drawing Office, including CAD/PDM systems, drawing standards, BOMs, and ERP integration
- Drive cross-functional project engineering and ISO-aligned processes
- Mentor and lead technical teams across multiple engineering functions
- BSc/BEng/BTech
- A minimum of 8 years experience in mechanical design in manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a management role
- Extensive experience in mechanical product development, CAD/PDM systems, ERP integration, and ISO 9001 design documentation compliance
- CAD (Autodesk Inventor preferred), PDM (Vault), and ERP system experience
