- Install, maintain, and repair solar power systems, including solar panels, inverters, batteries, and associated electrical equipment.
- Conduct electrical inspections to identify and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to plan and execute solar installations in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform electrical wiring and connections, ensuring proper grounding and system integrity.
- Test and commission solar systems to verify functionality, performance, and safety.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions in solar power systems.
- Collaborate with customers to provide technical guidance, answer inquiries, and address concerns related to solar power installations.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, best practices, and safety regulations related to solar power systems.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and guidelines.
- Valid South African Wireman's License is mandatory.
- Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably with specialization in solar power systems.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and electrical codes and regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Proficient in using electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Additional certifications or training in renewable energy, photovoltaic systems, or solar installation.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the renewable energy industry.
