Senior BESS Engineer

• Lead the electrical design and engineering of grid-scale BESS projects, from concept through commissioning.
• Develop and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, cable schedules, and grounding designs.
• Evaluate and select major BESS components, including PCS, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with grid codes, utility interconnection standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash analysis.
• Support procurement, contractor engagement, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and on-site commissioning.
• Mentor Junior Engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, civil, and controls engineering.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (professional registration preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years focused on BESS or renewable energy systems.
• Strong knowledge of grid integration, protection systems, and power electronics.
• Familiarity with relevant codes (IEC, NEC, NESC, and IEEE), SCADA systems, and battery technologies (LFP, NMC, etc.).
• Proficient with engineering tools (ETAP, PVSyst, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
