We are currently seeking an experienced Biomedical Engineer for a prestigious private hospital in the Middle East.Job Summary: The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the effective and safe operation of medical equipment within the hospital. This role requires an individual with extensive hands-on experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of biomedical devices.Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Management: Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring patient safety.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of biomedical devices.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to hospital staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all equipment meets regulatory standards and guidelines, including those set by local and international health authorities.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring availability for timely repairs and maintenance.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in the biomedical engineering field.
  • Extensive knowledge of biomedical equipment, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support devices.
  • Proven experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
