- Lead and inspire all department heads and staff to achieve operational goals.
- Drive a culture of excellence, high staff morale, and guest satisfaction.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure the lodge consistently exceeds guest expectations in line with brand standards.
- Monitor guest feedback and take proactive steps to resolve issues.
- Implement guest service improvement plans where necessary.
- Oversee daily lodge operations across all departments.
- Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for efficiency and consistency.
- Control costs while ensuring profitability.
- Drive revenue through sales, marketing initiatives, and yield management.
- Collaborate with finance on budgets, forecasts, and performance tracking.
- Maintain health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times.
- Conduct regular audits and staff training on safety protocols.
- Contribute to the lodge’s business plan and strategic objectives.
- Provide operational reports and updates to senior leadership.
- Matric / Grade 12
- Hospitality or Tourism tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6 or higher)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a luxury game lodge
- Minimum 10 years’ operational management experience in hospitality
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and commercial acumen
- Guest-centric mindset with a passion for exceptional service
- Ability to innovate, adapt, and drive change
