- Making, following up and maintaining all guesthouse bookings
- Managing the guesthouse’s profile on Booking.com (rates, updates)
- Maintaining a database of all guests
- Attending to queries on Booking.com, Sempere, via email, walk-ins and telephonically
- Liaising with guesthouse managers regarding maintenance required in the guesthouses
- Liaising with guests, colleagues and service providers verbally and via emails
- Providing assistance in performing costing calculations for consumable items
- Engaging in stock control and stock take activities for the guesthouse
- Creating customer invoices in ZAR and EUR
- Checking customer payments
- General administration
- Reporting
- Matric / Grade 12
- Certificate or relevant tertiary qualification in Administration will be advantageous
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in administration
- Experience in the tourism / hotel industry would be advantageous
- Extensive experience and understanding of working with Booking.com and Semper
- Experience with costing (i.e. food items)
- Point of Sales experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English & Afrikaans)
- Good financial / numerical understanding and skills
- Professional appearance, demeanour, and conduct
- Good computer skills (MS Office: Word and Excel)
- Willingness to work on weekends
