This is a strategic finance leadership role for a commercially astute executive with deep experience in the Telecommunications, Internet Service Provider, or Data Centre sectors. You'll drive financial and commercial outcomes across a fast-scaling infrastructure business. This is not a traditional reporting finance role-it requires a hands-on leader who partners closely with executive leadership, supports M&A activity, and manages large-scale system transitions. You'll report to the South African CFO and partner directly with the MD of the business.What You'll DoLead financial strategy, planning, forecasting, and commercial structuringOversee pricing, deal modelling, scenario and sensitivity analysisAct as a commercial advisor on vendor negotiations and client SLA structuringManage finance operations across African entities (no travel required)Direct a system migration from Oracle to SAPSupport potential disposals and broader M&A activityBuild and mentor a high-performing team of 16+ finance professionalsEnsure governance, risk, compliance, and financial performance reportingWhat You BringStrong financial leadership experience within Telco, ISP, or related infrastructure sectorsDeep commercial acumen and a proven track record in pricing and deal supportExposure to M&A, systems migration, and strategic planningExperience leading multi-entity operations in Africa (travel not required)Expertise in Excel modelling, scenario analysis, and BI toolsA Bachelor's degree in Finance or related (CA(SA) advantageous but not required)Leadership style that fosters accountability, innovation, and cross-functional collaborationWhat Success Looks LikeFinancial strategy aligned with business growth and market shiftsStrong executive partnership delivering measurable commercial outcomesStreamlined finance operations and successful SAP implementationHigh-performing team culture with clear development pathwaysEdgexec (Pty) LtdRecruiter
