Job Summary We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team, with a core focus on power distribution and power quality. You will work alongside product and automation specialists to deliver technical solutions to the industrial and commercial sector, support ongoing R&D, and be a key contributor in the evolution of our energy portfolio. This is not just a design office job: you will have a real impact across technical support and solution architecture, supporting both internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities● Electrical System Design: Lead the design and specification of electrical and automation projects, with a strong emphasis on power distribution, power quality correction, and MCC assemblies. Use CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD) to produce and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and layouts.
● Project Execution & Solution Architecture: Participate in solution architecture and execution, from initial feasibility and costing to handover and troubleshooting. Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, proposal engineers, and product specialists.
● Product & Technical Support: Provide Level 3 technical support for the power product portfolio, acting as an expert resource for both customers and internal teams. Aid in technical investigations, application support, and advanced troubleshooting.
● Research & Development: Engage in the research, development, and enhancement of new and existing product solutions within the power and energy markets.
● Business Development: Support the sales team with technical input on proposals and customer engagements. Identify opportunities to drive growth in the power/energy business unit.
● Team & Stakeholder Management: Assist the Engineering Manager with team deliverables, freeing up management capacity and mentoring junior engineers as required.
● Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies relevant to electrical power distribution and automation● Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
● Experience: Minimum 5 years’ relevant industry experience (with at least 2 years in a design engineering role), focused on power distribution and power quality. Exposure to automation systems is highly advantageous.Please send your cv toNetwork FinanceRecruiter
