As a pre-sales engineer you play a crucial role in driving sales by providing technical expertise to customers and prospects during the pre-sales process. You will be responsible for understanding customers needs, providing product demonstrations, and working closely with the sales teams to deliver effective solutions across the full product suite.Responsibilities:Engage with customers and prospects to understand their current technical landscape as well as their technical requirements and challenges.Own the technical thought leadership role in the customer engagement.Coordinate technical teams and resources to coordinate solution proposals.Design and deliver product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits and features of the Salesforce platform as it relates to the customers requirements.Collaborate with sales teams to deliver proposals and technical solutions that meet the customers needs.Provide technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle from initial contact to closing of the deal.Stay up to date on market and industry trends as well as competitor offerings to effectively position our product in the sales cycle.Participate in trade shows, conferences and marketing events to promote our solutions to support customer reach.Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environmentMandatory Candidate Requirements: (Please do not respond if you fail to meet any of the below criteria)Ability to communicate fluently at a business level in English.Based in Johannesburg and willing to travel to multiple locations across Africa, Europe and the United States.South African Citizen or Permanent Resident status to qualify to work employed in South Africa.Proven recent pre-sales or solutions sales or architecture experience of 2+ years in the technology industry.Strong technical skills with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.Excellent written & oral communication, objection handling and presentation skills.Experience with Salesforce CRM solutions, with minimum requirement of the Salesforce Admin Certification or equivalent.Preferential Candidate Requirements:Demonstrated Industry Experience in the following is a plus: Manufacturing, Automotive, Healthcare & Life sciences, Professional Services, Travel, Transport & Hospitality, Energy and Utilities.Degree, Diploma or proven experience of working in computer science and or related engineering fields a plus.Project management certifications or proven experience is a plus.Additional Salesforce certifications are a plus.AccommodationsIf you require assistance due to a disability applying for open positions please submit a request via this .Posting StatementAt Salesforce we believe that the business of business is to improve the state of our world.
