International Luxury Furniture Retailer in the V&A is seeking an experienced SM to join their esteemed team from roughly October 2025The successful candidate will have a solid track record of dealing with VIP and High End Clients and understand the target market and dynamics of both a retail and destination spaceThe candidate must be a strong salesperson, capable of balancing the appropriate stock levels with a store layout that always aligns with the company's guidelines.Job PurposeAs Store Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the, drive performance and profitability, and embody the brands design-led identity. You will also serve as a key liaison between the local store and the global brand, requiring occasional overseas travel for buying trips, training, and brand events.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer ExperienceDrive the store to meet and exceed sales goals and KPIs.Deliver a premium and personalized customer experience.Manage CRM tools to build and retain a high-value client base.Stay informed on product knowledge and design trends to advise customers credibly.Team ManagementRecruit, lead, and motivate a passionate, service-oriented team.Conduct ongoing training and development sessions, including updates after overseas brand meetings.Foster a culture of accountability and excellence.Operations & InventoryOversee store operations including cash handling, scheduling, and stock management.Coordinate with head office on stock allocations and replenishment.Conduct regular audits and ensure full compliance with operational policies.Visual MerchandisingImplement and maintain visual standards that align with global brand guidelines.Lead seasonal refreshes and product launches in collaboration with head office and external partners.Brand Representation & TravelRepresent the store and brand at international events (e.g., Salone del Mobile, training seminars in Italy, global store manager conferences).Maintain regular communication with HQ in Italy and other international stakeholders.Bring back insights, trend forecasts, and product knowledge to train and inform your local team.Person SpecificationRequired Skills & Experience35+ years of retail management, ideally in design, furniture, luxury, or lifestyle sectors.Strong sales performance with a focus on premium customer experience.Experience managing teams and developing talent.Confidence in representing the brand both locally and internationally.DesirableInterior design or architecture background.Fluent in a second languageUnderstanding of international buying cycles and brand logistics.Personal AttributesStrong leadership with a hands-on, proactive approach.Culturally aware, confident in international settings.Passionate about designFlexible, organized, and self-motivated.Other RequirementsAbility to travel overseas up to 34 times a year (e.g., HQ training, Milan Design Week, international retail meetings).Weekend and holiday availability required.Must be eligible to travel within the EU and other regions as necessary.Please email cv to
