Duties include:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job posting and candidate screening to interviews, offers, and onboarding.
  • Ensure smooth induction processes and a positive experience for new hires.
Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Provide guidance to managers on employee relations and industrial relations matters.
  • Support adherence to labour legislation and internal HR policies.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant laws, including BCEA, EEA, LRA, and OHSA.
HR Administration & Systems
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, leave data, and HR reports.
  • Manage HR information systems and ensure data is up to date.
  • Oversee industry or council-related administration where applicable.
Performance & Development
  • Assist with performance review processes and performance improvement plans.
  • Identify training needs, coordinate learning initiatives, and track employee development aligned with business goals.
Policies, Payroll & Reporting
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated, implemented, and consistently followed.
  • Support payroll by providing timely and accurate HR inputs.
  • Prepare reports and insights to support management decision-making.
Requirements:
  • HR Diploma or Degree (Non Negotiable)
  • Minimum 3 years HR experience in a business environment (Non Negotiable)
  • Experience with HR systems (SAGE, ESS, or similar).
  • Sound knowledge of South African labour law and industrial relations (MIBCO)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical, organised, and able to work independently or within teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR information systems.
  • Ethical, professional, and results-driven.
  • Flexible, resilient, and adaptable.
  • Initiative-taking with a practical, hands-on approach.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to handle confidential matters sensitively.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Candidates may be required to undergo psychometric testing.
