Auction Clerk - PotchefstroomFull job descriptionBKB is seeking an Auction Clerk to oversee all administrative and clerical duties. Your duties will include all tasks related to administration of clients, auction programs and the payment process of auctions. If you are a detail-oriented professional with proven clerical experience, we want you to apply. Our ideal candidate will also be familiar with basic bookkeeping and office administration processes.JOB REQUIREMENTSKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEGrade 12 with 2 years’ relevant experienceExcellent computer literacy in MS office applicationsMust be fully conversant in English and AfrikaansValid driver’s licenseSKILLSAbility to work independently combined with excellent interpersonal skillsAnalytical and problem solving skillsTime management skillsAttention to detailExcellent administrative skillsCOMPETENCIESCommunicationMulti-task orientatedPeople SkillsManage workloadKEY RESPONSIBILITIESAuction admin and accounting:Assist with auction clerk responsibilitiesReconcile buyer and seller quantities and correlate to auction rollCompare with auction summary and do a reconciliation of the auctionFinalisation of auction to be imported in server and SysproAdministrative responsibilities:Ensure that auction invoices reach sellers as soon as possibleHandle all enquiries form sellers, buyers, clients and personnel pertaining to the auctionExpense function:Gather all invoices of business area before submitting for purchase orders.Follow up on payments to suppliersHandle all queries from suppliers in terms of statements, invoices and paymentsTraining:Responsible for the training of auction clerksRegular training of any updates or changesKeep abreast with changes on Auction systemsAccounts receivable management:Ensure that clients settle their accounts within the agreed termsFollow up on account receivables and provide weekly updates to the line manager
