A global leader in optical innovation, is looking for a commercially minded, analytically driven professional to join their team as a Commercial Business Analyst. In this role, you’ll turn data into strategic insights, support high-impact decision-making, and help shape the path to profitable growth. You’ll collaborate across departments, analyse trends, and identify opportunities that make a real difference to the business.As a Commercial Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Analyse sales, margin, pricing, customer, and product data to inform commercial strategies.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, models, and KPIs to track and improve performance.
  • Perform variance analysis (volume/price/mix) and profitability reviews by product, channel, or customer.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning with strong financial insights.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate business cases, campaigns, and investment returns.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and initiatives to improve revenue and reduce costs.
  • Present actionable recommendations to senior leadership through clear, impactful reports.
  • Support pricing reviews and contract analysis.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity to guide strategy.
  • Enhance data quality, reporting tools, and analytical processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (Honours/Master’s an advantage).
3–6 years’ experience in commercial or financial analysis within a data-driven environment.
Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; BI tool proficiency (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView) preferred.
ERP experience (SAP, Oracle) and knowledge of SQL, Python, or Power Query a plus.
Exceptional business acumen and a passion for turning data into action.
Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex information for stakeholders.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with integrity and confidentiality.
