Job Summary
REQUIREMENTS
  • Grade 12, relevant qualification highly advantageous
  • Minimum 5 yrs experience in procurement/logistics imports & exports (daily basis)
  • Own transport with a valid SA drivers license
  • Pastel experience advantageous
  • Experience with Letter of Credit payment method - an advantage
  • Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint proficient
  • Must be a team player
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • German language would be an advantage
  • Work permit, if necessary, must be available
DUTIES
  • Sourcing/procuring various products from local & international suppliers
  • Compiling of quotations for cross-trade & import shipments to customers
  • Liaising with freight forwarders to obtain air/sea courier quotations
  • Issuing orders to various international & local suppliers
  • Expedite and follow up with suppliers to schedule collections
  • Daily follow-up with suppliers on outstanding orders
  • Arrange & fast track shipments via Courier/ Air/ Sea
  • Updating customers on their orders and shipping delivery times
  • Keeping track of customers account in terms of payments due/ statements
  • Maintaining good relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Product calculation
  • Duties are not limited to the above, the position will also include other secretarial duties should assistance be required.
