● Account relationship management experience
● B2B technical hardware sales experience required; 7+ years experience in the technology industry – Optical, Aerospace, Aviation
● Ability to effectively understand customer technical requirements while interacting with both technical and non-technical people (Solution selling)
● Proficient in CRM software
● Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
● Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
● Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively
● Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
● Strong business sense and industry expertise (optical, aerospace, aviation)
● Prospecting skills
● Persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills
● Ability to travel internationally and working flexible hours to compensate for time zonesAREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Including, but not limited to:Leads Management● Actively seek out new opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media
● Generate high-quality qualified sales leads and capture them in Zoho
● Convert sales leads from Zoho into engaged potential customers and ultimately into sales ordersSales Delivery● Set meetings with existing & potential clients to find our solutions for their problems
● Log potential deals on the back of customer engagements
● Foster customer relationships and actively work to convert leads and deals into sales orders
● Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the value proposition of our products and solutions
● Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education to prospect and existing customers
● Model the business case associated with each sale opportunity
● Participate in events and conferences on behalf of the company
● Create effective sales pitches and sales collateral to close deals
● Effectively grow and manage a distributor channel
● Maintain documentation of customer contact and account updates in the CRMStrategy & Budgets
- Create sales strategies that target our B2B customers
- Develop and deliver strategies for growth and scale
- Identify new revenue streams
- Establish global partner relationships (eg. OE manufacturers, distributors, implementers, installers, maintenance)
- Engage in new business development and funnel management activities with focus on vertical market developments
- Develop sound customer engagement strategies
- Contribute to sales reporting and projections / forecasting
- Research customer needs for new solutions (products and features)
- Conduct market research to identify new routes to market
- Collect and document competitive intelligence
● Manage resolution of customer complaints and queries
● Follow up with clients to understand their experience and satisfaction
● Manage customer relations by soliciting and logging client feedback; evaluate data received through digital channels
● Identify areas to improve customer satisfaction and repeat business; communicate issues to management to develop possible solutions
● Coordinate training support to customers and distributors as needed
● Work closely with Marketing to develop supporting marketing communications
● Create effective sales pitches and sales collateral to close deals
