Engineering company in Gauteng is looking for a suitably qualified Structural Engineering Draughtsman to join their team in Centurion.Qualifications and minimum requirements:
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Basic understanding of mathematics and physics
  • Engineering / Draughting certificate or diploma
  • Autodesk suite of programs such as AutoCAD & Bim360
  • Revit (Proficiency 3+ Years - Intermediate) – Advanced will be advantageous
  • Knowledge of reinforcement steel and structural steel
  • Basic understanding of structures (Concrete, Steel, and timber)
  • Ability to assess and understand architectural layouts in order to coordinate and overlay with structural layouts
Experience:
  • Minimum 10+ Years in retail, commercial and residential steel and concrete structures (Timber, Petrochemical and Agriculture will be advantageous)
  • A thorough understanding of reinforcement steel and detailing (Preparation of bending schedules)
  • Preparation of concrete drawings (layouts, sections, and details)
  • Preparation of structural steel layouts, sections, and details
  • Site experience – assisting the engineer/project manager with site inspections, measurements, and surveys
Computer literacy:
  • Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • AutoCAD 3D
  • Autodesk Revit
  • Autodesk BIM360
  • Prokon Probar (Reinforcement detailing software)
  • Prokon (will be advantageous)
Position available for a qualified Structural Engineering Draughtsman.
