Process Optimization
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process control systems and automation to enhance productivity.
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives and yield improvements without compromising quality.
- Design and scale-up manufacturing processes from lab-scale to full production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Maintenance to integrate new equipment or processes.
- Manage projects from inception to commissioning
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation, such as PFDs, SOPs, and control plans.
- Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with quality standards
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective action for process deviations and non-conformities.
- Participate in audits and support regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to the management of change process
- Identify and analyze production issues, determining their root causes
- Develop and implement effective solutions to resolve production problems promptly
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address complex issues
- Continuously seek opportunities to anticipate and prevent potential problems
- Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to monitor trends and identify problems.
- Use statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to guide decision-making.
- Report findings and present recommendations to management.
- Promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
- Ensure all processes adhere to environmental and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safeguards.
- Train team members & production staff on new processes
- Train and support production staff on proper use of equipment and adherence to processes
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering preferred; Mechanical Engineering & Industrial Engineering will be considered
- 3–5 years of experience in a process engineering role in the manufacturing industry
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Project management certification will be a plus
- Knowledge of GMP will be a plus
- Proficiency with drawing tools/software (preferably AutoCAD & AutoCAD Plant 3D)
- Knowledge of ERP and CMMS systems is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
