Salary: R25,000 – R30,000 per month (depending on experience)Overview:Our client based in Benoni is urgently seeking a Diesel Mechanic for a temporary project-based contract. The successful candidate must have experience working on both diesel and petrol vehicles/trucks, as well as plant machinery and yellow metal equipment.This role is ideal for a hands-on, experienced mechanic who can hit the ground running and contribute to a key project. The contract will run until the end of the project.Key Responsibilities:Conduct maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel and petrol trucks and vehiclesService and repair plant machinery and yellow metal equipmentPerform fault finding and mechanical troubleshootingCarry out routine inspections and preventative maintenanceMaintain accurate records of work performed and report to the project supervisorEnsure adherence to health and safety standards at all timesRequirements:Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic working with:Diesel/petrol vehicles and trucksPlant machinery and yellow metal equipmentMinimum of 3–5 years’ relevant experienceSemi-skilled mechanics or Red Seal-qualified candidates will be consideredAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAvailable to start immediately or no later than 01 September 2025Must be reliable and committed for the duration of the projectOwn transport is advantageousContract Details:Type: Temporary / Project-basedLocation: On-site in BenoniStart: ASAP or 01.09.2025Duration: Until end of the projectSalary: R25,000 – R30,000 per month (depending on experience)
