Civil Engineer/Technologist (Registered)

- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering team including mentoring of junior staff members.
- Identify and manage commercial, quality, resourcing, scheduling and technical risk during project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and manage statutory approval processes for water and wastewater projects.
- Undertake and coordinate water, wastewater and treatment feasibility or planning studies, including report compilation.
- Define goals and deliverables with clients and produce products as may be required for each project stage (e.g. ECSA stages for Professional Services) related to water, wastewater and treatment projects.
- Carrying out measurements and valuations to produce accurate project cost estimates, schedules, quantities and valuations at various stages of a project.
- Produce client and project specific construction contract documentation for procurement processes.
- Manage project finances and fee projections by adhering to invoicing targets.
- Identify and pursue potential work opportunities (i.e., compilation of invoices, proposals or tenders for professional services in the water sector).
- Continue and maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory procedures and technical standards and apply or implement such requirements where necessary.
- Work independently and be self-motivated whilst producing quality products, but also to function well in a team environment.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills required to build and maintain client relations and team moral.
- Integrate and cooperate with other engineering and non-engineering disciplines.Qualifications And Experience:
- BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering.
- Candidate must be professionally registered with ECSA.
- Preference shall be given to candidates with at least eight years' experience in water, wastewater and/or treatment works.
- Candidate should have experience in technical writing and verbal communication.Requirements:
